The Philippine Board of Investments (BOI), under the Department of Trade and Industry, honors Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines with the Pandemic Heroes Award during the Appreciation Ceremony held at the P&G Philippines office in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig dated October 5, 2022.

DTI-BOI’s Pandemic Heroes Award recognizes its partner stakeholders who have responded to the pressing needs of the country during the early days and throughout the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. P&G provided their unwavering support in ensuring the health and safety of frontliners in hospitals through their medical-grade facemasks, health and hygiene products manufactured in their Cabuyao plant, and through PPEs sourced from local manufacturers donated to protect several frontliners in hospitals and government. The company also provided support for vulnerable families in COVID-19 hotspots and continued investments in the country despite the pandemic.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, P&G has stepped up as a Force for Good and a Force for Growth by safeguarding frontliners and communities, protecting jobs, and continuing economic investments. P&G has donated over PHP 200 Million to help aid in the government’s COVID-19 pandemic response efforts. This includes re-purposing its manufacturing plant to produce and donate over 3 million medical-grade face masks to DOH and frontliners hospitals,  becoming the Department of Health’s largest private partner in the “BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19” nationwide education campaign launched with the US Agency for International Development, vaccinating over 52,000 individuals through Philippine Red Cross’ ‘Bakuna Buses”, donating P&G health and hygiene products, and building health and hygiene infrastructures for DepEd schools, LGUs, govt hospitals, public areas, and transport terminals.
