I had my first experience dining at Amah Restaurant, located inside AFPOVAI, Taguig, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. Today ( November 25, 2025) is their official re-opening, so I suggest Mommshies to bring your friends and family.

Amah re-emerges as a beacon for food lovers seeking fusion and warmth. The moment you step inside, the sleek, yet inviting ambience sets the stage for a meal that’s as visually stunning as it is delicious.

Amah’s menu is a love letter to bold, modern Asian fusion cuisine. Take, for example, Kansi from the Negros region—a dish I was used to enjoying as a hot bowl of soup filled with tender meat. Amah, however, elevates it to a new level by presenting soft, tender beef with tendon alongside crunchy vegetables, served in a small amount of flavorful broth. Kansi brought me back to my High School years in Bacolod City, where I had my first taste of delicious Ilonggo Cuisine.

But don’t let the Kansi steal all the spotlight, as Amah has other mouth-watering dishes to offer.

To start, we enjoyed Scallop Tostadas, Kilawin Tanguige, empanadas, Siu Mai, and Potstickers. For the main course, in addition to Kansi, we savored Char Siu, Grilled Lapu, and Aged Duck. All yummers!

Save room for dessert! Experience the Coconut French Toast, where each bite reveals a perfect balance of crispy, golden edges and a tender, fluffy center. It’s paired with luscious pandan ice cream that melts smoothly on your tongue, releasing fragrant notes of sweet, floral vanilla. The dish is crowned with a drizzle of warm, caramelized latik—offering a delightful contrast of creamy sweetness and toasted coconut crunch.

Alternatively, indulge in the Black Tea Cake, a delicate sponge imbued with the deep, earthy aroma of black tea. The cake’s soft, pillowy texture is enhanced by subtle hints of vanilla, while a bright, zesty splash of calamansi cuts through the richness, leaving a refreshing, lingering finish that awakens your palate.

The Coconut French Toast pairs exquisitely with a steaming cup of hot coffee, its rich flavors beautifully complementing each other. Meanwhile, the Black Tea Cake is best enjoyed alongside a refreshing cup of hot tea, enhancing its delicate aromas and bright citrus notes.
